VT STRONG news – Ludlow, VT: Kevin Davis of Ludlow, Vermont was killed in a lake accident during cyclonic formation hurricane Irene’s inland Tropical Storm floods August 2011.  Davis was a Fletcher Farm Art Colony Board Member and Mary Davis Okemo Mountain Realtor. He was also a descendant of the Davis Family Plymouth Buffalo Brook Gold Au Claims of the 1859 Vermont Gold Rush. Tropical Storm Irene unearthed natural gold and historical finds.

Post Tropical Storm Irene, FEMA funded Educators at the 2012 Fletcher Farm Arts Festival who used various arts and gold panning to reach traumatized stressed recovering children.

VT STRONG news 8.28.2019 8 years ago today inland Tropical Storm Irene Devastated Vermont in 2011. The storm washed out roads and bridges, caused landslides, second story home flooding, and backflow from the CT river to the Quechee Gorge. Supermarkets were flooded and closed. Food supply was cut off and the National Guard was activated.
