VT STRONG NEWS – Williston, VT: VT STATE POLICE report 5.30.2019

The Vermont State Police is asking for the public’s help in locating Brian Brady, 57, of Ringwood, New Jersey, who was last reported to be in Vermont in the vicinity of the Champlain Bridge between Addison, Vermont, and Crown Point, New York. Mr. Brady’s family has reported concerns for his well-being.

Troopers received a report that Mr. Brady was missing at 3:18 p.m. Thursday, May 30. Troopers responding to the family’s request for a welfare check at a condo owned by Mr. Brady at Smugglers’ Notch Resort found the residence unoccupied. Investigators subsequently learned that Mr. Brady had rented a car in New Jersey on May 22 and driven to Vermont. The vehicle was located on Friday, May 31, 2019, in a park and ride lot in Addison about a quarter mile from the bridge.

On Friday, the Vermont State Police Scuba Team, assisted by the New York State Police and the Essex County (New York) Sheriff’s Office, began a water search on Lake Champlain in the area of the bridge. That effort is ongoing at this time.

Mr. Brady is described as white, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what he was last wearing.
