13 CONNECTICUT RIVER POWER DAMS THAT RESTRICT STORM FLOOD WATER FLOW UP FOR SALE
Vermont and New Hampshire, New England: 3.12.2017 – 13 River hydroelectric Powered Dams located along the Connecticut and Deerfield River are near purchase by a Boston Company. The Dams may be subject to flooding when water levels rise.
During Hurricane Irene 2011 massive tropical rains, strong upstream flooding occurred with the green generating dams contributing to reducing river flows. The Otter – Queechee River flowed backwards from the Ct River to the Queechee waterfalls at the historic covered bridge. The bridge and ground around the footing of the bridge washed away. Water flowed through the covered bridge causing severe damage.
